Don't miss our next gig at Stripes Bar, Brentford F.C., Braemar Road, Brentford on March 5th from 7.45

Welcome to the planet Vorton!

The Vortons are a group of musicians sent to earth on a mission. The mission to restore the fun in pop/rock/jazz music. The guardians noted that since the 1960s people on earth have been taking this form too seriously and so Vortons have been sent to rectify the situation with their own brand of surf jazz rock. The midi file you here is one of the tunes we play but it is not us! If you would like to hear a sample of the real thing then follow the links to the pictures page and you will hear the Vorton's playing their version of Time is Tight.( This is not true! You'll hear Phantom Guitar by the Phantoms, one of the numbers we do but again it is not us - yet! We will put a recording of us there soon.)

Who are the Vortons? The Vortons comprise Bill Blackledge -lead guitar, Colin Parratt - rhythm guitar & harmonica, Tony Penneck - bass guitars, Colin Everest -Saxophone and rhythm guitar, Jeff Simmons -drum kit & percussion. See pictures of real Vortons - click here!

So what kind of stuff do they play? Mainly instrumental music from the fifties and sixties from the likes of Johnny and the Hurricanes, Duane Eddy, Shadows, Booker T and many similar influences with a sprinkling of jazz-rock and other danceable music.

How do I contact them? Easy - just e-mail me at colin@ceverest.demon.co.uk. At the moment (July 2000) we are looking for booking from September onwards
